American Bully Pitbulls
It is a breed that was produced more closely after the Dogo Argentino genus, which is the closest breed to our history. If we search the American Bully from A to Z, it is a breed that has enough details to write a book about it. For this reason, in this article, we wanted to mention some issues about its general lines and important points.
It is a type of dog obtained by cross mating, starting from the American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) and American Staffordshire Terrier (AST) breeds in the early ’90s. In our country, it started to become widespread after 2010 and its demand has increased considerably.
When the pedigree of the American Bully dog is scanned backward, we see that it regresses to APBT and AST breeds, where it has a weaker bone structure. In fact, because of these pedigree records, I think some of them think that by choosing the most adult offspring from among them, they have acquired the large bone structure, the appearance of the American Bully, although this is a huge mistake.
Although the details of the race used in cross mating are still unknown, errors such as undershot and broken tails were encountered in bullies used in the past years and showed us what breeds were used. However, it is not quite right to claim anything with certainty.
Currently, the standard structure of American Bully, which is accepted and registered through clubs such as EBKC, ABKC, and IBKC, varies according to classic, XL, extreme, short bully, pocket, and bully types. We will mention the breed standard features of the American Bully dogs standard breed in another article.
The most important feature of the breed that I want to mention here is its temperament structure. As it is known, all races are accepted or not accepted by various federations. Since the history of the American Bully breed is very short, it has not been included in the breed groups in international federations such as AKC, FCI, which are the most common worldwide.
As a result, individuals and institutions that have devoted themselves to the production of this breed continue their production by paying great attention to the breed standards in their associations and associations.
