Was the wedding during Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance real?

In the midst of Bad Bunny’s culturally rich Super Bowl halftime performance, another history making moment took place for a lucky couple.

That wedding moment that took place in front of the world? It was real. And Bad Bunny indeed served as a witness and signed the marriage certificate.

According to Bad Bunny’s representatives, the couple – who was not identified by name – had invited the Puerto Rican superstar to attend their wedding. Instead, he invited them to be part of the Apple Music Halftime Show, where they were married on live TV.

As they clasped hands and kissed, the stage opened to reveal Lady Gaga, one of several surprise appearances during Bad Bunny’s 13-minute, 14-song performance.
In addition to her salsa-fied version of “Die with a Smile,” Bad Bunny also welcomed fellow Puerto Rican Ricky Martin, who sang a verse of “Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii,” while Cardi B – a singing friend on their hit “I Like It” – and actor Pedro Pascal were among a swarm of dancers.

Bad Bunny’s invigorating performance, which, as expected, was performed entirely in Spanish, was filled with cultural references, numerous moving parts through sugar cane fields and even one of his new Grammys handed to a little boy.
