The end of a legend. Prayers needed for Celine Dion
Celine Dion recently provided an update on her health, announcing that she will be rescheduling some tour dates to 2024 to prioritize her well-being. In an emotional video posted on her official Instagram page, the singer revealed that she suffers from a very rare neurological disorder called stiff-person syndrome.
Dion explained, “I have been struggling with health issues for a while, and I find it quite challenging to talk about all that I’ve been going through and to face these challenges. It pains me to inform you that I will not be prepared to resume my European tour in February.” Stiff-person syndrome is a rare autoimmune movement disorder that affects the central nervous system, causing stiffness and rigidity in muscles.
Celine shared that the spasms caused by the syndrome impact every aspect of her daily life, including singing and walking. She expressed her gratitude for the support of her medical team, who are helping her manage her symptoms so she can eventually perform again.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, this condition affects about one person in every one million people. While there is no known cure for stiff-person syndrome, Celine remains hopeful and focused on her recovery.
Fans worldwide have expressed their support and admiration for Celine’s courage and resilience during this difficult time. 🌟❤️
Stay strong, Celine! We’re all rooting for your speedy recovery. Share this update with fellow fans to keep them informed. 🎤✨
