Woman’s 43 operations to look like Barbie backfire
It’s no surprise that many people are not entirely satisfied with how they look. These days, cosmetic procedures and surgeries are becoming increasingly common.
A lot of people aspire to look a certain way, and Dalia Naeem is no exception. Her inspiration happens to be Barbie.
Now, after over 43 surgeries and procedures, she looks a lot different. Keep reading to learn more.
That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re desperate to change their appearance in any major way. Wishing for a smaller nose, less thin hair, or clearer skin is incredibly common.
In many ways, the refusal to be content with how we look is a uniquely human trait that has only become more prevalent since the rise of social media.
While dreaming of an altered appearance might not be rare, very few people drastically change the way they look. This is likely a blessing, especially since the results of surgery can never be guaranteed.
Of course, there are those who take things a step further. Some people are willing to spend astronomical amounts of money on procedures to transform their appearance into something else.
Dalia Naeem, a 30-year-old from Baghdad, has spent a fortune to achieve a look comparable to that of a Barbie doll. Known as the “Iraqi Barbie,” Dalia has undergone some 43 cosmetic procedures to replicate Barbie’s appearance.
Dalia works as a presenter and actress in her native country and is extremely active on social media, updating her legion of Instagram followers about her latest enhancements.
The 30-year-old has a whopping 1 million fans on the platform, many of whom express their delight each time she undergoes another procedure.
Needless to say, interest in Dalia’s transformation has been huge, particularly since she is now virtually unrecognizable compared to the woman she was before her body modification journey began.
While Dalia appears determined to further alter her appearance, she does have her detractors. She has been labeled a “zombie” by some Instagram commenters, while another called her a “Devil Barbie.”
We must state our belief that no one should ever feel the need to alter their appearance. We are all beautiful just the way we are, and it’s our differences that make us truly unique.
That said, though Dalia’s journey might not be for everyone, the main thing is that she seems content with her decisions.
