A Neurologist With Double Board Certification Believes That Joe Biden May Be Suffering From Vascular Dementia
A double-board certified neurologist has rubbished various media reports pointing towards US President Joe Biden suffering from Parkinson’s disease. However, he did indicate that the incumbent president may be suffering from a condition termed as ‘vascular dementia’. He called on Biden to undergo a neurological testing and an MRI scan to detect vascular dementia. The health history of the president may have contributed to this condition, according to this expert. He ruled out Parkinson’s after observing Biden and the symptoms associated with the disease. Dr Russell Surasky was speaking to Fox News on the president’s health and offered his expert analysis. In recent times, there have been questions raised on Biden’s ‘cognitive decline’.
May not be Parkinson’s disease:
Dr Russell expressed empathized with the president and criticized his team for trying to cover up, a form of illness that can be easily seen. He added that the president’s personal physician had ruled out Parkinson’s disease after the latest medial test in February.
He said that some noticeable symptoms associated with Parkinson’s disease were not visible in Biden’s case. He said on examining videos of Joe Biden he appears to be suffering from stiff gait and not shuffling gait which is a key condition associated with the disease. Biden also doesn’t have a unilateral resting tremor and cog wheeled rigidity on one side which are the other two conditions associated with this neurological disorder.
Is Biden suffering from vascular dementia?
Dr Russell called on Biden to undergo a neurological testing which involves a few hours of medical examination covering various points such as bodily movement, memory retention etc. An MRI scan will also help in the detection of vascular dementia.
Chances of Biden suffering due to vascular dementia:
The President has in the past suffered from a condition called atrial fibrillation which is an irregular heart beat which causes reduced blood flow to the brain. He has also twice suffered due to brain aneurysms which leads to the rupturing and bleeding of a blood vessel in the brain.
