“Fear Not”: Trump Makes Incredibly Powerful Statement in Wake of Assassination Attempt
In one of the unfortunately underreported after-effects of the fortunately failed assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump that took place in Butler, PA, on Saturday, July 13, the former President shared an incredibly warm and thoughtful message that included Biblical themes and was a great way of focusing on the good rather than the bad, at least temporarily.
Beginning the post by focusing on God preventing the bullet from striking his head, Trump wrote, “Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesterday, as it was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening. We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness.”
He continued the post on much the same note, focusing on prayers for the families of those killed and wounded in the attack. He said, “Our love goes out to the other victims and their families. We pray for the recovery of those who were wounded, and hold in our hearts the memory of the citizen who was so horribly killed.
Concluding the post, he called on people to stay united and focused on what’s important. “In this moment, it is more important than ever that we stand United, and show our True Character as Americans, remaining Strong and Determined, and not allowing Evil to Win. I truly love our Country, and love you all, and look forward to speaking to our Great Nation this week from Wisconsin,” Trump said.
In another post that he released on Monday the 15th, the former president focused much more on the political aspects of the matter. He said, “As we move forward in Uniting our Nation after the horrific events on Saturday, this dismissal of the Lawless Indictment in Florida should be just the first step, followed quickly by the dismissal of ALL the Witch Hunts — The January 6th Hoax in Washington, D.C., the Manhattan D.A.’s Zombie Case, the New York A.G. Scam, Fake Claims about a woman I never met (a decades old photo in a line with her then husband does not count), and the Georgia “Perfect” Phone Call charges.”
He concluded that post by skewering the Department of Justice, saying, “The Democrat Justice Department coordinated ALL of these Political Attacks, which are an Election Interference conspiracy against Joe Biden’s Political Opponent, ME. Let us come together to END all Weaponization of our Justice System, and Make America Great Again!”
In a post the day before, late at night, he commented on the need for RFK Jr. to have protection from crazies, saying, “In light of what is going on in the world today, I believe it is imperative that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. receive Secret Service protection — immediately. Given the history of the Kennedy Family, this is the obvious right thing to do!”
And, the night of the attack, he thanked the Secret Service and others for protecting him, saying, “I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead. I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
