I wasn’t just your dog. I was your shadow, your secret keeper, your best friend. You gave me the best life I could have ever dreamed of; full of love, comfort, and belonging. Thank you for every meal, every pat on my head, every “good boy.” Those words were magic to me. When my time came, I saw the sadness in your eyes, and I wanted to stay. But something gentle called me, a light that whispered, “Come rest now.” I didn’t want to leave you, but I carried your love with me across the rainbow bridge. It’s my forever collar now, it keeps me safe and close to you.
Please don’t think of the day I left; think of the thousands of days we had together. I’m still with you in your laughter, your dreams, and in every wagging tail you’ll ever meet.
